Few more days left for Win 7 Upgrade for $49.

Vista is actually good now that there's actually driver support. Saying Vista sucks now is like saying the PS3 still doesn't have any games lol.

Actually it does suck if u do anything more than web browsing. Apps crash on me all day and it's freakijn' annoying.

Can't wait til oct 22nd! Assuming I haven't upgraded to mac by then lol

Do you have SP1? A lot of gamers now say it performs better than XP given you have the extra RAM available, and not many apps are more resource-hungry than games. 64 bit support is only going to keep improving as well.

Anyways I thought you said Vista kicked ass a while back, what happened?

It froze two times in between the last two posts. Who knows what it was ddoing, hd light was going crazy.

Vista is always great after u instal it and first month. The once u install more apps, more engines, new drivers, new patches, new service packs, etc. etc. - it gets slower and clunkier and annoying as time goes by. I do the most aggressive shit you can do to a cpu (3d rendering) and vista whiel I've tweaked like fuck so it can still work -- hates it. It just wants to stay in a web browser all day and be happy.

Heard 64-bit is way more stable, but i ain't going there and having half my apps and hardware not work.

I wonder if in the process of tweaking for speed it might've disabled some maintenance features...

It works pretty well. Even has 64 bit support should you go that route.

Anti virus/spyware to protect from the evil prOns sites is a good idea too but you probably already knew that.
