Feel no different after a carb-up day

I usualy hear how people fill back out after a good carb-up day, and that they are stronger aftert the carb-up as well.

Well, for me, I can't tell a difference. I carbed up yesterday, approx 450g carbs. First three meals were about 110g of high GI carbs each, along with 300mg r-ala with each meal. My fourth meal was 1c oatmeal with 200mg r-ALA, and my 5th and 6th meals was 1/2c oatmeal with 100mg r-ala per meal. Took in around 240g protein, and kept my fat at about 30g for the day.

Today, I feel no different at all. Still feel pretty flat unless I'm the gym and get a decent pump, but even today the pumps weren't any better then usual, and my strength was about average.

Is this normal, or should I feel different after a carb-up day?

looks like you had a lot of low-gi carbs, and maybe not enough hi-gi. You might want to carb up for 2 days next time if you're not seeing the full pump.

I generally have about 800 g carbs on a carb up day with

3 bottles of ultra fuel
3 2cup bowls of frosted flakes cereal
3 cups of pasta cooked

over a period of 30 hours (fri nite- sat. bedtime)

Instead of carbing up for two days straight, think I would be better off upping the carb intake to around 550-600g, and taking in about 500g high GI carbs?

So maybe meals 1-5 would be 100-115g high GI carbs, along with 300mg r-ALA, and meal 6 would be 1c oatmeal with 200mg r-ala

If you do it all in one day, you might have an overspill effect of the glucose into bodyfat stores. I would recommend have a 2 day carb up...day 1: high GI day 2: low gi (oatmeal/beans/veggies etc..)

How many total carbs should I consume for each day?

Follow my manual breakdown, but make the carb count match on day one, and only have of day one on day two.
