Feedback please: my upcoming routine

my upcoming routine (that is no more, lol!)

One of my training partners and I are going to be trying a program that's very different for both of us... we're trying to find an optimal way to train for both strongman and powerlifting, and we think that getting into Oly lifting will be very beneficial to this.

Give opinions....PLEASE.

Sun -

WSB Box Squat - 8 x 3
WSB Max Effort Lower - warm up to max
Rack Pull or High Pull - 3 x 4
Bench exercise - standard shirted 3 board 4 x 3
reverse hyper - 3x8
abs/calves

Tues

3x5 hang snatch
3x5 hang clean
3x5 clean/dead/shrug
5x5 push press
4x3 front squat
3x5 OH squat
2x5 Stones

Thurs

8x3 speed bench
4x3 push press or jerk
high pulls (clean or snatch)
4x8 chins (weighted if possible)
heavy front squats
Abs/calves

Sat - Strongman Events

The Tues/Thursday workouts are going to be very light (except where it says heavy lol), as we're still pretty green on the olympic lifts. Also, I believe the Tues/Thurs workouts are pulled from a olympic lifting instructional tape.

interesting buddy, why do u want to work full body each day??
i am sure you have a reason. cuthbert, seems you would need a little mroe tricep assistance moves to work your weaknesses???

I do feel like i need more triceps in there, I will probably be throwing in a couple exercises. Plus the Tues/Thurs workouts won't be too heavy; they're more technique-oriented, at least at first.

I've also heard from VERY strong people (Nowacks) that heavy overhead oly lifting (jerks, snatches etc) has helped their pressing a LOT... so we're experimenting with that.

I see that you have strongman training the day before doing box squats and lower body max effort. I would think that your body would need more recovery time. Also, as noted by Brian 747478, you are doing full body workouts every time. How hard are you going to hit these workouts (60%-70%-80% of max weight)? I think this information would help others effectively evaluate your routine.

I hope this helps,
Best of luck,

Cheese

This is definitely a concern... we'll talk about this one, lol.

Thanks Cheese

good point cheese, if one of the jerk/push press workout is just form, then makes sense. if hitting those hard, seems like too much. u gonna do log on event day??? i know u guys sometimes do. i like keeping upper/lower body separate, but there are more ways to gain than doing this. keep me informed how it goes. i can def see where u the heavy jerk/oly lifts can help the press.

hmmmmmm i was actually thinking about something similar cuthbert

like combining de and me lower.
box squats 8x2, me movement to a 3 rep, secondary move, abs

then doing events on sunday with higher volume
