Fedex for sending gear

this new source I'm dealing with uses Fedex to send packages? I haven't been on the boards very much lately, I thought that priority mail was the only way to go?

Only if the sender specifies that someone has to sign for it. That someone doesn't even have to be you, it could be a doorman, mail room guy, etc.

USPS suks lately. I like the Fed-Ex route, sig waived. You should have no probs. And you will even get a tracking number that you can use....Did I mention USPS suks?

I only use Fed-ex. No need to sign unless senders says to. I back heavy only that UPS sucks!!!! Only use Fed-Ex and pack right. I use Pro-Pack in Cali. Great company.

There's one big advantage to using a private carrier. These companies don't allow law enforcement to use their uniforms. So no controlled deliveries, wearing a UPS or FedEx uniform that is. They won't allow it because it puts them civilly liable if someone should mistake one of their employees for a government agent and do something stupid.

I think if you use fedex, is not a federal offense as would be USPS. Not sure though.

USPS is using FedEx to deliver all of their priority packs right now. So I don't know if this means that all FedEx packs are getting the royal treatment or just those handled through USPS are.

I was also informed it was priority. I have not looked into it since I do not ship gear, so I don't care. I was just letting people get some more info.

wrong genarr3......I am in law enforcement....I can tell you that we, at our department, have used both sets of these uniforms for control busts......none have been for controlled meds but for coke and marijuana....

exactly....i have a friend that was arrested for accepting an illegal package, the next day when the cops pulled him in, the arresting officer was the UPS guy from the previous day.
