Do you really think that might happen in the UK?

Danielson----to Pres. Bush's credit, he has been very good at reminding Americans that Muslim's aren't the enemy.....How many Americans are listening is debatable.

Also, Danielson, don't you think the UK is probably more emotionally equipped to dealing with terrorism that the United States is since the U.K. has been the target of terrorist attacks before?
danielson said:im actually more worried about a WW2 situaton similar to when the japs were locked up
because im sure xenophobes everywhere will be pushing for all people of colour to be locked up regardless of religion....and its a situation where people might be swayed enough to listen to them. that scares me
danielson said:stumpy as for the UK.....we got a lot more muslims here. vilonce here against muslims has been fairly bad as the xenophobes are as always like lil cockroaches waiting in the shadows for a rtime when its politicalkoly acceptable to do shit like this.

It's not going to happen. In this day and age, that would be an act of political suicide.
I'm afraid that full-blown race riots might break out again in places like Bradford and Oldham, only this time they'll be even more brutal.
danielson said:i hope so on the first point...but if people are dying everywhere from biological agents and the muslimpopulation is basically doing pretty well....either way i hope not
if the police dont play fair to both sides then those race riots might just happen agin, except worse. you on this side of the pond then stumpy?

In case of a serious biological attack, everyone would suffer, so there's no way that the Muslim population would be exempt.
I was of the opinion that the police in Bradford didn't do that much to prevent the riots in the first place (some were very sympathetic to the NF lads.) That means the police need to be policed as well.
I'm in the US, but I read a lot of non-US press, including British, which has much better (and more objective) coverage of world events.
