are all these songs alternative/rock?

No. Godsmack, Disturbed, Mudvayne, and Korn are all alt rock to hard rock. A bunch is techno/trance, sore are hip-hop like jay-z and some get into more hard rock like manowar.

Same song over and over again. They're starting to copy AC/DC and Iron Maiden.

What's wrong with that?
Those are 2 great groups

Besides "Tell me baby" <> "Highway to Hell"

It gets boring.

RHCP has like 40 new songs in the CD, you can't release that many new songs without having at least 50% crappy songs. It's not like they're a major hit factory.

Only few artists can re-invent themselves like Madona has been doing for years

If Madonna wasn't Madonna, no one would care about her re-inventions.

Pink Floyd also radically changed their style but it is not common

All those guys are great.. Ive seen Tiesto live 3x, once in LA on NewYears Eve.. w/ Tall Paul and Oakenfold I think was there too..They closed off 3 blocks, and everything was outside..Id say over 10k people were there easily.. My friends and I 'Rolled' are asses off till wee hours in the morning.. Than went to an after hours on Crenshaw..(what was that boys in the hood?) closed down an hour later though.. :(

Also seen ferry corsten 2x, van dyke 1x, carl cox 1x, darude 1x, oh and Sasha/digweed too.. Nothing beats these guys live..

Back in the day I loved Metallica, IronMaiden, Dokken, Crue, Ratt, Kiss, Judas Priest, etc.. I still do, but not as much.. Every now and than Ill bust out my CDs, its still great music..

Like you'd care, but:

Morton Feldman - Coptic Light = Modern classical
Frank Zappa - Ian Underwood Whips it Out = Avant-garde
Nomeansno - Heaven Is The Dust Beneath My Shoes = Punk

Why not. Three in a row.

RHCP has more fans on last.fm than The Beatles. Let that sink in. They're bigger than The Beatles on that network. Which, I guess, makes them Jesus cubed or something.

If that carried over to the mainstream, that would make them...the most important band of our generation? That's kind of sad. I hate to comment on the listening habits of the masses, but RHCP hasn't done anything worth a shit since '91 and even then...

Best site for your trance/house needs..

www.di.fm

Its free, but if you have a membership, sound quality is like CD quality.. With winamp and a stream ripper you can record for free, and not have to worry about virus' especially with sites like kaaza, etc..

What is dancehall?
Dancehall music is different from reggae. Dancehall is exactly what is says - for dancing, mainly in a club (hall). Dancehall is more of DJ-ing concept, with artistes spinning songs on a certain rhythm, (for example, the Diwali rhythm). Dancehall can be often derogatory, but is generally just a lot of fun.
