fatdissolve- is this real?

This is more commonly known as Mesotherapy. It's been used in France for a long time. Results are mixed. A local TV station in my market investigated it. The before and after shots they had from a couple people trying it made it look useless. Granted...that's only a couple people, but I'm only one and if I walk into a place like that expecting the results they state in their ads, then I don't want to be one of the 'exceptions' that couldn't get benefit.

I'd like to hear from people who had the amazing transformations that the ads talk about. I've seen ads that try to infer this method as an alternative to plastic surgery, but where are those happy people who got results from an injection instead of a knife.

I remember someone asking on this board a while back about making injectable phosphatidylcholine. I thought they were crazy.

Interesting site and concept though. I wonder if anyone sells it on the web. I'd give it a try if it was inexpensive.

Here is a good article:

At the same time, Dr. Ablon continues her research. As part of a soon-to-be-published study, she excised one lipoma that had been directly injected with deoxycholate and found the medicine had caused necrosis in the lipoma.

She says, "The question is, how do we ensure that this is localized necrosis? How does one make sure that if one injects (phosphatidylcholine) anywhere, it's only going to hit the fat and not the muscle underneath? That's the concern for physicians who are considering using this compound to treat lower eyelids and other areas of the body. If the injection were to cause digestion of some of the underlying muscle tissue, one could have serious complications," Dr. Ablon notes.

I'd be careful with this stuff. I take PS orally but it looks like deoxycholate taken IV could cause some complications.

Very interesting though. I wonder what the magic recipe is? It would probably be easy to homebrew.
