It's a totally emotional fear response because of Jaws....the last shark attack there was like in 1959....you're more likely to win the lottery or something.

Yeah, I just thought it was funny that the CG was looking for the shark. While they're at it, they should see if they can find Jimmy Hoffa.

LOL @ the Coast Guard "looking for the shark." Do you have any idea how much money it costs for an average 2 hour sortie? And they're wasting that money looking for a fucking shark. If you're not willing to put yourself in the middle of the food chain, stay out of the fucking ocean...sheesh.

Yo!! Yeah that shit happened right here in Solana Beach, just about 15-20 minutes from me.

Guy was a 60 (ish?) year old retired veterinarian, who was also a triathlete. He was out swimming with some other people, and a witness said it looked like he was suddenly pulled under. A shark expert from Birch aquarium at Scripps is convinced it was a great white.

It's the big news down here. I was eating lunch down at Cane's in MB (close to Lestat's pad) and people were talking about it at the next table.

I think Wulfgar caught the shark and ate it already though.

Yeah, they had that, "don't go in the water 'ban'" going on for an 8 mile stretch by the attack site, so you're ok by your place. There were several peeps in the water out front of Cane's. I had a Hurricane, category 5. Good stuff!
