Fasted running

is your goal to lose weight? then just eat something healthy. some fruit, veggies, eggs.

your diet is 10X more effective than starved cardio is. if you do starved cardio then eat a fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy then you are wasting your time.

no don't drink a shake before cardio... you need something like sweet potato or brown rice.. something starchy and light.

and you cannot burn away fat without some muscle as well... impossible.. when you do cardio no matter what kind, and you burn fat.. you will shed muscle too.. its part of the game my friend... look at what swimmers and runners look like.. they are trim.. very little musfle and fat on their frames.. the muscle they have is LEAN muscle. bodybuilders meanwhile do not do very much cardio.. the trick is we eat CLEAN and we had ruthless workouts which burn calories while being anabolic and ripping muscle fibers...

Actually an amino acid supplement drink or protein shake (low carb) is the best pre-workout source of fuel to burn fat/keep muscle in mornings on a empty stomach. The amino/protein complex will help retain the muscle, while you're burning pure glycogen (stored carb/sugar) or fat as you jog or w/e

If you eat any type of carbs before morning cardio you'll be burning the carbs from the food before you even tap into your bodies stored glycogen. Thus taking it a much longer cardio routine before you even start burning fat. You body does not start burning fat as energy until your stored glycogen is depleted. Hence why keto diets are most effective and rapid fat loss

The key is to keep your carbs low at dinner (veggies), when you go to sleep your glycogen will be lower, when you wake and hit the cardio on a light pure protein stomach your glycogen will still be low and your workout wont take long before you start burning body fat. Post workout throw some oats in a protein shake and replenish some glycogen so you don't feel like shit all day.

I never eat carbs preworkout cardio to burn fat unless im doing HIIT or a long lift/cardio session

the most effective way to burn fat and keep muscle is HIIT, keto and AAS combo.

Lift more reps, minimum rest inbetween sets, then hit the nearest track and do 50-100yd sprints

The only "runners" that are scrawny are marathon runners. Olympian sprinters, running backs, boxers/ wrestlers who run everyday religiously, guys like lebron james who run around all game etc are very much jacked.

You can absolutely do cardio and retain muscle bud. Hell you can burn fat, not workout, eat like shit and still keep muscle if you talk to a guy named DNP. Lol

back when i was an endurance before a race or training sesion i would eat a sweet potato and some brown rice... or even a handful of organic cereal. then wait about 2 hours and then run. you eat right before you will get sick .. you do not want to be running on a full stomach..

try it yourself.. have a shake before a hard run...

LOL I remember back in High School I was the star half miler......At one track meet just before my race I downed like 6 tablespoons of honey. Had a lil bit of trouble keeping that down.. but I found that if I only downed 1 tablespoon that it really did seem help me have the juice for my kick at the last 100 yards. I was a fricken rail man, like 5'10 and 135 or some shit like that. But could sure fly for that half mile.
