Face pulls, upright rows - how often do you?

these 2 exercises seem to hit both my back and shoulders, so i like to do them at the end of my routine on both days.

is it easy to overtrain these muscles or do they recover quickly since their somewhat smaller ?

i do 3 sets of both, 8 reps for the rows and between 10-15 for the pulls

what day do you do them?
 
Be careful with upright rows man. I've heard from quite a few informed people that they're vicious on the shoulders, even done in proper form.
 
yeah i know what you mean, sometimes they make the joints feel weird, but sometimes they feel great

anyone else. . .?
 
i do upright rows on shoulder day. i find doin them with a wider grip helps alot. i used to have alot of pain in my shoulders, but doing rows with a wide grip doesn't give me any problems (it also hits the delts more and upper back less).

never done face pulls.
 
Try some clean and snatch pulls. They'll hit your entire shoulder girdle, particularly your posterior delts and traps. Much easier on the joints than upright rows, too.
 
did upright rows today, they felt great. Did some uprights too but im starting not to like those, they feel like they hurt more then they help, maybe cuz im using the EZ curl bar though

i highly recomend face pulls though

do you happen to have any links that would show/explain the proper form. i've never done these but think i'd like to give em a try.
 
I do my face pulls at least once a week...love them.
