Mid cycle...everything was going great then BAM. The past threee days I've been stuck in bed with this damn flu and haven't been able to hit the gym at all. To make matters worse, my diet is also suffering with a complete lack of appetite...any suggestions? I'm going crazy thinking how many steps backwards I'm taking here
 
I hate it when that happens. It always seems to happen right about when you hit week 4 or 5 and start getting good gains. Don't worry, get lots of sleep, keep up with injects, force yourself to get in all the cals you can, and hit the gym hard when you feel better. I got sick during week 5 of the cycle im on now. After a few days I felt better and then made great gains after that.
 
Oh ya and keep drinking TONS of water. That's really important. Even if you can't get food in get in that water.
 
It sucks, but it's only temporary so don't worry so much about it. Try for calorie dense foods since you don't have an appetite. Peanut butter works. There aren't many times that it doesn't sound good to me. Full yolk scrambled eggs are easy on the stomach and taste good when sick.

If you feel nauseous Benadryl helps.

Agreed.

I did a 6 week prop cycle and was sick through half of it.lol

I also hit the taurine.
 
Bro... do you think it's from the cycle (aka "test flu") or just seasonal?

I ALWAYS get "test flu" usually by the end of the first week or so...same symptoms as your typical flu.... it lasts 2-3 days at most then good to go.

Listen, don't stress about losing a few days (yah, I know..it SOUNDS easy)... your body will bounce back with lightening speed, guaranteed....muscle memory is a beautiful thing... if you've ever taken a week or longer off from the gym and then started up again, you'll definitely know what I'm talking about.

Definitely drink tons of water... take your mutli's, Vitamin C & Zinc especially... get as many nutrients as you can to help your body recover faster (eat clean!)...and you'll good to go in no time!
 
3 days wont kill you bro. Of course you'll feel like shit and like youve lost all your gains, but you wont. It comes back just as quick.

Try forcing yourself to drink some shakes with frozen yogurt, natural peanut butter, banana and some whey.

Anytime Im sick I like oxycodone. Just makes me feel like Im not sick or at least I dont remember and I can do anything. For whatever reason it gives me energy and I can eat anything.

More than likely your doctor would only give you vicodin tho or tussionex.
 
I had the flu around new years, galaxy is right about the pain killers. A couple vics and I was good to go..totally forgot about being sick... but then again, I was in bed for 3 days after that and missed a week of work. Drink lots of fluids, load up on calories and as much protein as u can take in, and let it run its course. You will be back at it in no time. Theres no easy fix, but it shouldnt effect you much either.
