Don't you hate when youre cruising down the highway mid morning going about 75-80 and you hear a loud humming noise namely the front flat tire and rim scraping against the pavement, and you say to yourself "whats that loud ass noise im hearing?". "h, shit! That's my damn tire. Well fuck let me pull over and dial up my handy dandy roadside assistance"

Well, 4 new tires and $320 later, I want you all to know that i made it to work safely. And tomorrow morning i go back to pick up my new rim.

Awww poor Smurfy! Sorry to hear 'bout that. I had a NAIL stuck in my tire once (when I had a '01 Galant), & I had to buy a new tire - thing was, it cost $160 - I had different tires than the original (originial tires were only used in the winter) & the other tires were to accomodate 18" chrome rims. It was a PAIN in the butt so I feel ya!

if you'd just popped the trunk, and stick your ass out i bet cars would pulled over to help you in an instant. i bet some would even give you their own tires.

Actually while i was sittign waiting for the tow truck personnel, some guy in an Aramark truck pulled over to the shoulder, backed up 1/4 mile to my truck and told me he was gonna change my tire and it would only take 3 min. Too bad my spare was already on my truck. So ultimately this nice gentleman couldnt help me - but he wanted to.

Never knew that when you had one flat tire, it required you to replace the other 3 ???

Always good practice to walk around your car and check the tires...

well the reason my tire blew was because the tread had worn so badly and my alignment is off so it wore on the inside part of the tire and finally just blew. i also knew that i needed new tires as the tread on these was all worn down and now was the time to replace all the tires eh? since i was at Tire Barn.

Ouch! Well that's a real fine way to start the day off, eh? Were you a bear at work for the rest of the day? I guess it's good that it didn't cause you to go out of control & wreck or something so I guess at least be thankful for that. Maybe you can work some overtime or something to make up for the money so it won't hit you in the pocketbook too hard..............or not. :)

thanks davey. nah, im in a fine mood. stuff like that doesnt much bother me - it just happens, NOw, if i had something important to take care of today and i missed it cuz of my flat tire, now THAT would piss me off.

Wow that sucks pretty hard. I hope the rest of you day got better at least. :) Also good that someone stopped to help you. I have helped a few people out or at least check to make sure they were ok. Also you seem to have the right attitude about these things.

Cheers,
Scotsman
