Exploding lats!!!??

Wow, just recently in my curent cycle my back has practically exploded. And my lats are huge! I have a basic back routine here it is

3x dead lifts
4x bb rows
4 x db rows

nothing special And I dont feel as though I work my back any harder then any other body parts. But man my back is soooo wide now. It is by far my most dominant body part. Anyways Im not trying to be huge pro bodybuilder I dont think they look good. I still want to be pretty big but nothing that isnt appealing to a ladies eye. Will a big back make me look wide and fat? It seems as though I look a lot wider now, I mean I gota flex the lats a little bit but still do you guys think that a wide back looks bad? or met any ladies that do? What's your thoughts does it look like wide and fat? Or does it make your waiste look smaller so in turn make you look a lot better? I have allways been trying to get a ripped back but now I got this wide ass back haha!!

Also anyone know the science behind why some body parts explode and others u can work all day and they wont grow haha

anyways thoughts???

A strong back makes for a great physique. It's called the V-shape, and it's what every muscleman should aspire for. It makes your waist look smaller. The ladies love it.

And try doing wide-grip pullups. By far the best back exercise. Specially with a 40lb dumbbell.
 
my back is wide as hell for my build, chest dont ever grow, big arms, small legs its just genitics and in my case ,,,,,,,,they suck..

I agree. I always thouigh my back workouts were lacking. After deads and barbell rows my back is shot and it feels great. Nothing better than feeling anf knowing that you just had a killer workout. A bad workout depresses me
 
I too have been blessed with exploding lats. But my chest is far far behind. very odd how some body parts explode while others just hang around.

hahaha. Today, I add weight! Probably just a 5 lb plate though to start off with. I too have a great rack. errrrrr....back that is. I was standing in formation one day during a very relaxed training, and the guy behind me said, "damn chris, your lats are huge!" That was before I even really started concentrated on them. Now, they are my favorite to work out usually. All I ever did was cable rows and pull downs. Now, it is bent over rows and chins.
 
I have problems isolating them for some reason. I always get a good pump but never feel like they are spread out enough. I do lat pull downs, front and back, barbell rows, and dumbell rows sometimes seated cable pulls. Anyway I have a pretty good taper but want a nice thickness to my back. I just don't think I'm doing it right is all. Heavier weight is good but you want to feel the squeeze....I'm thinking of doing heavy sets and then one good burnout of a really harsh squeeze at the top to waste the muscle.
 
I just got finished doing the chins with weight for the first time. Phewww. They hurt like hell, but I kept good form and stuck them out.
