Experience with Daycare Centers?

I know someone who had a little daycare, sold it for a profit, then built a brand new state of the art building in a suburb of dallas (over near where the cowboys have spring training)

it was going well but they didn't have video and audio surveillance and got sued for allegedly pulling a kid's pants down and spanking him, embroiled in a legal battle and want out of the biz.

it's supposed to be a pretty good business, they were pulling down bank for awhile and want to sell and get out, anyone have any experience in this industry?

I would think it would have to be able to watch a lot of kids at once..

There's a really successful one near me. Someone bought a large house across the street from a local elementary school. They get little kids all day and some of the younger kids after school.

That's the problem with daycare. Any kid gets hurt or someone accuses you of god knows what, your looking at huge lawsuits. Then your name is trashed etc. My wife wants to set up a day care center but the idea scares me. She presently runs the recreation dept. for a major hotel which involves a lot of kids programs but I just don't think it's a good idea.
