This is written by the NOSTRDAMUS. He predicted many things in history

"In the year of the new century and nine months, from the sky will come a great King of Terror....The sky will burn at forty-five degrees. Fire approaches the great new city..."
"In the city of york there will be a great collapse, 2 twin brothers torn apart by chaos. While the fortress falls, the great leader will succumb. The third big war will begin when the city is burning."

-NOSTRADAMUS

Its 2001 right now and its the nine month 9-11-01 also I looked it up and New York is located on the 41st degree latitude.

I am REALL Scared bro, I have never posted any BS on this board. I have looked this up and he really did predict this.

Bro you shouldn't be scared because it's bullshit!!

I have no doubt that some will seriously claim that the 16th-century prophet Nostradamus predicted the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks in his writings — such claims follow virtually every modern disaster — but one quatrain already being circulated under Nostradamus' name is demonstrably bogus.

"In the City of God there will be a great thunder,
Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb",
The third big war will begin when the big city is burning"

- Nostradamus 1654

Unfortunately, Nostradamus died in 1566, so it's rather unlikely he wrote this passage in 1654. It's not to be found in his published oeuvre. It's a hoax.

The verse apparently originated on a Web page entitled "A Critical Analysis of Nostradamus," written several years ago by a student named Neil Marshall. Marshall made up the quatrain to demonstrate — quite ironically, in light of how it is now being misused — that the writings of Nostradamus are so cryptic that they can be interpreted to mean almost anything.

Oh, and of all the possible candidates for a "City of God" in the modern world, shouldn't New York City rate among the least likely?

Two metal birds?

An interesting variant of the faux prophecy was posted in the newsgroup soc.culture.palestine under the heading "They followed his prediction":

In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb''The third big war will begin when the big city is burning'- Nostradamus 1654 ...on the 11 day of the 9 month that...two metal birds would crash into two tall statues...in the new city..and the world will end soon after" "From the book of Nostradamus"

THIS IS NOT HIS EXACT WORDS! NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!!

All wars have a city burning, all wars. This man is a General speaker. Never has he been correct! NEVER

that's bull. that is some fabricated stuff. go to you Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE) for that kind of info.

Do you know hat makes predicting the future so easy? We do. We are the most predictable species around. I would not put it past them one bit to have staged this to fit the 700 year old proficey (sp) Here is someitn interesting look at the flight numbers,

11, 93, 175, 77

11 day it happened

9+3 wednsday

1+7+5 today's date

7+7 tomorrows date

try that one on.

I was following it until "the great leader will succumb" part.

Allegedly, the plane that crashed in PA was supposed to have been headed to the White House. It has also been said that a man on that plane thwarted the hijackers attempts and it didn't hit the White House. Maybe the president was fated to die, and then a brave man stepped in. I'm not saying Nostrodamus was correct, but just playing Devil's advocate.

Even if the that plane did hit the white house the president wasn't around to be killed. He was in Florida when these attacks happened.

Don't you think all these dipshits, AKA terroists and the kennedy assainator, may have read this and did it because they read it and wanted to prove a point or something. I mean, lets say somebody predicted that so and so was going to die on this day. if i were to hear that and then i would go do it. it's too phishy to me.

EXACTLY!!! Prophecies have a way of becoming self-fulfilling. That is, the only thing that makes an even occur is the fact that it was prophesied and people read that prophecy. I know Austin316 will agree. :)

Some interesting points:

1) If you make enough predictions, eventually one will come true. If I predict the winner of the Superbowl for two different people, but I predict a different winner for each guy, obviously I'm going to be right. Woohoo.

2) Did it ever occur to you that the reason these events took place is because someone looked at Nostradumbus' predictions and said: "Hm, that would be cool. Let's terrorize the U.S. by fulfilling one of Nostradumbus' predictions and scaring them... hah!"

Please. If humans were empowered with the ability to see the future, we would have seen this coming and prevented it.

All this prophecy stuff is for children's books.

So, Warik... you don't believe in psychic ability? Thats too bad. :( I believe in Nostradamus. I don't think he has to be 100% right about everything he said. And I do believe some psychics can "see" the future, just as some can "speak" to the dead. It all comes down to whether or not you believe something exists beyond that which you can perceive with the five basic senses. If you grant that world is more than the eye sees, then why is it so incredible to think that an individual could have some sort of connection to the ethereal.
