let me know how things are going. Tell me everything about your Omega Project. Strength gains, weight loss, mass gains, diet opinions.......give me it all. I absolutely owe Omega all my success up to this point and want to see how he is working in everybody elses life. So blast me with info/opinions.

i've changed things up some, but i did the Omega method for 3-4 months with great success.....success i didn't think possible in 1/4 of a year.

i'm currently sitting 195-200 depending on the time of day. that is up 10-15lbs since i last posted pics.

Aren't u currently eating 500g of protein per day? That seems inconsistent with the omega "blue collar diet"?

440-450g, Omega and i tweaked my diet a little :).

Although we havn't gotten our diets/ training yet. I did some training and dieting last week. I splurged this past weekend a little. I started the diet and training on monday and this morning I felt great and looked as if I was leaner? I love it so far. I did chest yesterday and my pump was unbelievable! I felt like I was on! haha
The diet is easy thus far. I don't crave anything. Plus I won't 'cheat' unless given orders!
Training is intense and painful! I love it.
I 'm dying to get my schedule today! Hurry Omega! haha

I'm in the Sept class, but it's been delayed by a week.

That is shitloads of protein BTW. In Australia, Kangaroo is super cheap and super lean, so that would be my way of complying with that type of diet (although endless steaks would be the more pleasant way)

i can't eat beef so no steaks for me, i have a food allergy to it. All of my protein is from eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, and shakes. My shakes are only 45g (3scoops) as well b/c i use goat whey (lactose intolerant).

it can be very tiring to get through one full days routine but after a couple weeks it will be cake. remember to leave the ego at the door so you can keep that form and get all the reps. this was tough for me at first, but when i started seeing progress i didn't care what the number on the side of the d.b. was!!!

up MAYBE 1-2% but still lean/cut as hell. i stay pretty lean by nature.

I must say I am enjoying the routine. Have not trained in the fashion since my rugby playing days when there was more of a focus on speed, athleticism and endurance. I have been training many years now with an emphasis on strength and bulk and to be honest getting big is generally not too difficult for me. I changed my own training recently to drop some size and particularly body fat to provide a more overall athletic look to my body while still maintaining my roots in bodybuilding if you can understand that. At my age lugging around 220-250lbs is a task in itself and feel a lot more comfortable now under 200.

So Omega starting up this project was something I could see I should be able to benefit from given what success he had to date with subjects like yourself as a great example. It sort of was perfect timing actually as I was geting a little stale with my own routines and this came at a time when I was more than ready to switch things up. Still relatively early days for me but I am hoping that recomp will start to take real effect around this time. I have had a couple of comments lately from guys in the gym that I seem to be leaning out so I like that! You know you are always your own worst critic, or at least I know I am so perhaps there are noticeable changes there already which are more obvious to others than it is to me.

i agree 100 fucking percent bro. i look in the mirror and still see the 170lb dude i had been for years. I get numerous comments now from people (usually asking questions about u know what) and no matter how many people say i am looking good, i still don't see it myself. i guess this is just another motivational tool of the "game."

I put on 22lbs in 6 weeks, and leaned out quite a bit, but I also ran a cycle.

Overall, the time between sets was awesome. Loved getting the heart rate up and keeping it up.

I sweat like a MF while lifting (maybe weraing a hoodie has something to do with it?) and when I would leave the gym I was soaked.

I am used to training one body part a week, so this was totally new to me.

I liked phase 2 alot better than phase 1. The leg workout day is killer.
 
iv been doing the program for just over a week and the first time doing the exercises it was difficult cuz i had never trained like this b4, but i just finished doing my second back workout and its becoming more routine to take 4 seconds for every rep and keeping proper form, but for some reason my traps n bi's n forearms are still burning like crazy but my back isn't so much, i don't know what i did wrong but this happened last time to. burns during workout but not much after. but one thing i notice that is really getting a workout is my forearms, they burn like crazy every workout, i guess im just not used to holding the weights for such long periods of time yet. and leg day is just hell on earth.... but all in all loving this program

good to hear bro, nothing onthis planet comes easy!!!! when doing your back just picture your hands as hooks and focus on your back muscles pulling those hooks in. keep it up, u won't regret it.
 
I have that same problem bro. I start out fine then towards the end of my reps I think I use my bi's too much when I am tryin to pull with the back. maybe lower the weight next time? I know the weight will come. I was doing reverse curls with just the cambered bar! lol

ya the cambered bar weights 25lbs. we don't have the individual ones weighing from 20-80 or whatever. Ya I looked like a p....lol

This is what they mean by "checking our egos at the door".

Now, I'm not a skinny guy, but I'm not a bodybuilder either....but I loved how I was doing the 20lbs cambered bar while this dude across from me (who I outweigh by at least 50lbs, lol) was yanking up a 70lbs barbell. He was doing them at warp speed and his whole body was moving. Best part was how he walked over to the mirror to see if his arms got bigger...

My goal is to get through the 3 x 20 at 30lbs by the end of next week and handle the 40lbs before the end of the program. When I first read "don't exceed 50lbs", I was like WTF? Now I understand...

starting week 5 tomorrow;
im up around 19 lbs LBM, down 4% bf. The odd part is, im in the Cutting scheme but i cant follow the diet 100%, work on a military base in iraq and sometimes hard to eat clean all the time. Regardless, im seeing real size on me, my traps are finally growing, my biceps are showing nice form and my calfs and shoulders are getting huge.
Im McLoving it lol :).
 
corey- are you on cycle?? prob not because your in the military on base, but those sound like some incredible gains so far!

Tri-tren - 450 mg/week (150mg/EoD)
Ran Dbol (50Mg/Day) for 2 weeks, stopped when my Winnie arrive. Doing Winnie 50mg/day.
Taking L-dex for AI and bloat. Also using Synthegine for liver protectant.
Im usign a FatTrack pro, digital body calipers for measurements.
Gotta love satchels :).

Awesome progress re LBM gain and bf decrease! I hope to have that amount of progress in the next 12 months lol

I will be interested to see if I - without aas - can increase LBM and lower bf simultaneously, although I don't expect anything comparable to an "enhanced" athlete.

mwm... did you have any cheat meals??

usually i would have something like red lobster on the weekends. it was a cheat b/c of the fried shrimp but still good protein found in shrip. i would get it with a plain baked patato or rice. It is possible to 'cheat' but not go over board and still get some good nutritional food in.

Fried shrimp is my weakness!!!!

crab legs, lobster tail, shrimp (not fried), salmon....if it is one dinner i wouldn't worry about it that much. just don't go eat a basket of their very very delightful rolls:chomp:.

My belief on cheat meals is ONCE a week, One huge really bad meal is fine

Drinking though I have come to have a ZERO tolerance on.
The more you get in shape the more it throws the body out of whack, and inhibits precious protein synthesis

we extended the project for all by about 2-3 weeks
( I am taking one month off after this class, so there is plenty of wiggle room if you start late)

Anything not deep Fried is Excellent.
Just avoid the deep fry or butter on bread, and also bread.
Also avoid fatty soups like Clam Chowder

And is sams club and or walmart acceptable for food?

i honestly wouldn't use deli meat at all. it is processed, full of salt, and full of other shit. they say if a person eat 15oz a day of processed meat they are 75% more likely to get colon cancer. i stay away from that shit. buy a bag of frozen chicken breast, it is 3lbs and 7-8 dollars TOTAL. Put that shit in the crock pot before you go to bed and it's done when you wake up. I change up seasoning on it or add some cream of chicken, mushroom, or cellery. cooking time is

on high setting FROZEN 6hrs
on low setting FROZEN 8hrs

on high setting NOT frozen ~3hrs
on low setting NOT frozen 4hrs

tuna is good....i believe when he says roasted, he is speaking of the full chickens you see that spin around all day cooking. Omega correct me if i'm wrong. I use to eat the shit out of those things. great, tendor meat.
 
I realise Deli meat is not healthy (sulphides etc, and I avoid it as sometimes they worsen my headache condition as a result), but if it is low fat and 0 carb, why is it bad from a physique perspective?

2 25lb plates
sled weighs 150lbs

a lot of guys carry and load it up with 45lbs plates to make it LOOK "cool" i could care less how it looks. i put the big sum bitches on there and get work done. i could care less what anybody in that gym thinks.
OMEGA ingrained that last statement in my thought process and it is what has gotten me to where i'm at.
 
exactly. I have that thought process already, weather I have 5 plates on each side for the leg press, very slow and strict using my hams/glutes only to using the 5 lbs weights for the lateral raises. Big Woop. I am already transforming while other guys at the gym are trying to move bigger weight with momentum and are not growing/ transforming. ;)
 
I agree completely.

The biggest indication of this is approach my back.

I use to do chins/pull ups as my major back exercise. Earlier this year at 68kg, I could do 5 wide pull ups with 25kg attached, and I had no back to show for it at all, nor did I ever feel my back working or get back DOMS.

It's amazing that doing far less weight on lat pull down strictly or one arm rows, I can get 100x time the back workout. I'm hoping that this means I will have a back in 3 months - I'm not sure how long it takes to get something from nothing lol

Another example is that squatting caused my arse to grow more than my quads, simply because I was in effect swingwing up the weight with my arse
 
OK guys, it's been a while since i've heard from everybody. you've all been doing the program for some time now. Let me know what u think, what u've noticed, what changes have occured, let me know it all.....i'm interested and eager to hear
 
Legs growing/ becoming more detailed. Upper chest is filling in. Lats developing. Weight up and down. 236 one week, 245 the next, and now 235 this week. lol. I thin our scale is broken. Getting leaner each week. Loving it! I can't wait to go today!
 
yeah it has been weird with my weight. one week ill be 185, next 175, then 180 next. eating the same things. lats are getting bigger and wider, legs are getting huger and like sweed said chest is developing more

i've kept pretty much the same bf% and i'm up to 200lbs from the previous 185lbs i was in the pictures. I've used a lot of what Omega talks about here to get to where i'm at now, his supplement advice has helped me greatly among other things.
