NO everclear available in Canada....somebody please provide alternative....

hey bro, just about any kind of solvent.. try methyl alcohol, its in car engine cleaning products, like (heat) ...

*DON"T* use methyl!! It's dangerous. Try 151 proof rum (Bacardi usually). it's not ideal, but it WILL work. I'ts available here in the states, even where Everclear has been banned amd it's a sufficient solvent to make a useable batch of fina.

Seriously bro listen up. Just spend the stupid 25 bucks for a kit. I don't understand the problem here. What? Maybe you will save 5 - 10 dollars. 5 being more likely. Are you that cheap? If you have access to the internet you can easily find an online source for the stuff. And just so you know the stuff is perfectly legal to buy and posses. You run 0% risk getting the real thing.

Actually gwl9dta4 has a better answer. I'm the cheapest bastard on the planet. I'll do anything to save a dollar, but the kits really are worth it. Iv'e done Fina 3-4 times and I've used a kit each time with NO problems , great results, and no worries. Seriously consider it.

dangerous in the fact that it can "blow up" catch fire under heat of the burner, when heating... just be careful, its used all the time, but if you are not sure how to use it, then dont....its used a lot in the meth business too, to pull out ephedrine.... the kit isnt a bad way to go, everything is basically measured out for you, for the novice, the easiest, safest way to go..
