There was a time in my life where the club scene and partying was what I loved for.

Now I feel like a total alien in a club.

yes, moreso the last few years...i used to have a large social circle...then i started feeling uncomfortable and bored...so i'd sneek away w.o telling anyone. be like "yeah i'm gonna hit the bathroom" and not come back

lmao my hubby does that all the time. If we are at club or party we just sneak off I guess he doesn't like the "hey I am going to go" and friends say "NO" and give you shit so he just avoids it. Our friends are used to it by now though. lol

to avoid the ball busting...as i'm getting older though i'm starting to regret some of my shady manuevers, as i've lost touch with some good bros.
i've noticed friendships do not last unless you maintence them...fuck over bros time and time again they will no longer be your bros.
oh well, it felt right at the time...

Yea. That's why I like to bar hop by myself. If I get bored I can just leave. If I'm with friends I have to be "considerate".

everytime. it's why i wander away from the group and talk to other people.
my friends already know this. i call them "solo missions". sometimes a good bro or broette will jump in and meet my new friends or associates.

i don't get a thrill of hanging out with the same people over and over again to talk about the same shit...except in a loud place, where you can barely hear each other.

i enjoy going out because i always have fun, meet cool new people and network. or see people i haven't seen in a long time (the party scene in miami is actually very small if you're in with a certain theme)

i get very ansy if i'm around the group i'm with too long

you never know who you'll run into or see and thats what makes it exciting...this mentality usually leaves me with pretty cool experiences and stories

Yeah, people are so transparent anymore why waste my time? I think the older I get the less friendly I become. Not because I am not a friendly person, but because most people anymore are so ignorant and yet at the same time so opinionated. Nothing worse than a moron with an opinion. Plus people are so into being "cool" that anyone with substance is hard to find.

This world is like one big high school anymore.

not really. im a much better socializer these days, which means i know how to engage people in a way that they havnt been engaged often before - and so it can get interesting

I know what you mean but in my case i would probably prefe to hang out with some friends at the moment that meet new people. Rarely when i go into a social situation on a 'night out' do i find people that interest me much/the kind of person i haven't seen 100 times before. Most women especially can be so predictable it just bores me to death to even attempt conversation with them. Fourtunately there are occasionally a few that do hold something a bit more interesting...you know the kind of people that will momentarily restore your faith in humanity.
