Evacuee's still causing

Frisky

~QUEEN BITCH~
Platinum
Havoc

Seems one of our major facilities that housed them had to do some extensive plumbing work due to evacuee's wrapping bricks in tshirts and flushing them down the toilet.

What could possibly be going thru their mind? Why destroy a place that is housing you, providing you with food, clothing, and a clean place to sleep?

those damn neighbors

I wish most would return to NO. Not all are bad, but ya know that old saying... "it only takes one bad seed!"

Seems most that I run into, at stores and such say they are not returning. So that means now our over poplulated schools, etc will remain this way. FEH!

So, they left NO and came to live in L? Don't they HAVE to go back at some point?

And, do you just walk up to people and say "Hi, My name is Erz. You from NO? Going back soon?" because that seems a bit confrontational.
;)

Most did yea.. some from surronding areas. Fema set them up here temporary in homes, trailers, etc. Paid rent, utilities for 18 months with the option to keep the home after. Most are better off than they were before the storm.

So, no they prolly won't go back home to NO.

And no silly, I don't just walk up to them and ask them that. I run into these people at stores and such, usually its them asking for directions etc.. thats when I chime in for them to Jump on I49 and head East until they get to the Exit that say's New Orleans.

So, they just got free homes? I'll bet its bigger then my home office. I'm swinging by.

<note to self...don't ask for directions from Erz>

<scratch that...note to self...Erz has no idea where Canada is>

God forbid most of those people get jobs for once and stop cashing the government checks!

The Gov't is taking to much pity on some of these people. Sure alot lost everything they had, but if the Gov't just continues to give and doesn't require them to at least seek employment, then the'll just suck it all dry.

I know of three people already that made false claims, that will be damn hard to prove. Each are getting in excess of 50k, and this is just for their business alone.. not the lost of property and goods.

Sad, really it is. Fema is slowly running out of money, and the ones that really need this money are getting the run around. I have a family memeber and a few friends that lost everything. Both the insurance, the State (due to building codes) and Fema are twidling their thumbs and keep pulling out some red tape.

All while my sister her three kids and husband wait.

go figure, my house was filled with backed up sewage and the help a cannuck

ah, gotta love the ol USofA

Once New Orleans is rebuilt they will go back there because they can get jobs that pay just little enough to keep them getting full unemployment etc.
In Massechusettes they are using the FIMA cards at liquor stores, strip clubs etc.
A few had arrest warrants and one was a sex offender.

its just as bad here actually, well now it is. They are given all the benfits that they would be getting there. Fema will let them continue to stay in the gov't homes for little or nothing. The state will then (from what i've heard) pick up the remainder and use these homes as gov't appointed homes. (ahhh got to love that eh?)

They continue to get all of their wellfare, foodstamps, disability etc.. plus they get money from fema and redcross. Don't have to pay utilities, or rent... free loading off the gov't 100%

I hope they all do go back!
