I have an assignment to write an essay on a rule of life. I have chosen to write on strength, and plan to include one of the following quotes as my "rule".
Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.-- Mahatma Gandhi
Strength is a matter of a made up mind. -- John Beecher
That which does not kill me, makes me stronger. - Friedrich Nietzche
We are made strong by what we overcome. - John Burroughs
People do not lack strength; they lack will. -Victor Hugo
Does anyone have any personal experiences that one of these quotes relate to, or know of someone (can be a news story) that a quote like this has a special meaning to? I think that a story of an experience would make the essay more clear and present the idea better. Also, if someone knows of a better quote, please post it up. Thanks.
