How about an exemption for those of us who made under $10,000 last year?

Lets see... $10K income... $20K+ school costs... hmmm. That leaves me $10K+ in debt.

But if I we crunch some numbers, I think I can afford it.

If My Income - Platinum = total
Then $0 + (-)$15 = -$15

I don't like being negative another fifteen dollars.

Then

a + b = t
(a + b)(a - b) = t(a - b)
a^2 - b^2 = ta - tb
a^2 - ta = b^2 - tb
a^2 - ta + (t^2)/4 = b^2 - tb + (t^2)/4
(a - t/2)^2 = (b - t/2)^2
a - t/2 = b - t/2
a = b

Therefore, a platinum membership costs me $0.
