Ephedrine + Asthma Meds Interaction?

Got a bro who is thinking of using ECA for workouts and going out.
For asthma, he takes 1 puff of SERETIDE (50mg) twice daily, and VENTLIN when needed.
Could there be any interactions between these? Should he use less ECA than the standard 3x/day@ 25mg protocol?

i have asthma too and i noticed that about 3-4 hours after taking pure ephedrine (just before i would take my next dose), that my chest got a little tight. I attributed it to the bronchodialoator/ephedrine "waring off". Keep in mind that you always should have you rescue inhaler on hand just in case!

bit more info on the seretide. seretide is a combo product containing 2 drugs, and so there should be another number. please confirm

long story short: if your friend uses ECA to burn fat he will have an increased need for oxygen (bad, threshold for asthma attack comes down) and if he experiences any chest tightening as above, that will further restrict his intake of oxygen (bringing him closer to the threshold of an attack)

on the surface if a low dose of eph is used then there isnt much risk, but at higher doses where the patient is going to get airway difficulty as a result of using the drug, you have a problem.

i would say start low and go slow, but you dont get second chances with some asthma attacks so i would probably avoid

Ok, so when you say low doses: how much are we talking? 25mg Ephedrine daily?

As for the combo: he only gave me one number, so I'll have to check on the other one.
Its funny he's being so wary, as he often dables with other recreational drugs without any thought for his asthma, or interactions with Seretide.

anyway, while im here i'll ask a Q: is there any benifit to taking Brogen (clenbuterol) when working out for fat burn? is this advisable?

anyway back to the original question, sorry i came across like a bastard...whatever dose is reccommended in the literature, halve it, and slowly increase. if you get sides, back down to the last safe dose and stay there. repeat.

jimmy82, didnt read your q last time. was in a rush. if you read a little about the drug youll find that the answer is yes, it is supplemental to fat loss. its also illegal in some parts of the world. dangerous if used wrongly in all parts of the world. cheers

I have asthma, and have taken ephedrine with no problem. Ephedrine actually helps with asthma symptoms, so it shouldn't matter if you take them.

Its not the asthma I'm worried about.
My buddy takes Seretide for his asthma, so I'm worried the Ephedrine will interact with that.

I also have asthma and have been taking ephedrine daily for a couple months now. I always keep an inhaler with me, but I haven't had any reason to use it. Keep the doses low to start and see how your friend's body reacts. Just make sure he keeps the inhaler around in case of emergency.
