Anyone else like the new series?

I like the idea of it being before all the other shows, and Scott Bacula is the man.

I saw the 1st episode and that's about it. I am huge Next Generation fan. I never was able to get into the other shows. I miss Picard saying, "Make it so, number 1."

I'm not a huge fan of the new series. Honestly tho, I can see it being just as good as TNG in about 2-3 years. They just need to iron out a few kinks.

But I really miss Picard and the whole Enterprise-D crew. Best TV show on the 90's, imo.

TNG, DS9 and voyager all were kinda f-ed up in their first series (the latter 2 taking a few more series to sort out and hence ending prematurely IMHO)

i kinda expect the enterprise crew to encounter some sort of big 'enemy' like in DS9 and voyagaer. TNG kicked ass

Enterprise is off to a good start, but it'll take some time - I hope they start giving a little more backstory on Earth's "history" between now and the start of the series. But give it some time - I watched some of the early TNG episodes a few months back on TNN and I'd forgotten just how many bad episodes there were in the first two seasons.

I still think that while TNG had the best individual episodes, DS9 was the best as a series - it had the advantage of plot lines that carried over several episodes, and even from season to season. (Of course, just voicing an opinion like that risks setting off a Trekker war on the boards...sorry...)
