This ones on behalf of me mum. Basically she is by most systems of measurement, the exact weight for her height, most people would have to diet forever to get how little fat she has and she has received compliments on many different occassions by different doctors complementing her on her physical fitness (been asked if she's a fitness instructer etc). BUT, she has had energy problems for years.

First she was treated with thyroid hormones, got better (not perfect), then some years on got worse - they gave her oestrogen, it improved again. Recently they had to take her off the oestrogen (some months ago), because of brittle bones developing, and wories about bone density. She's been having the menopausal symptoms again (due to the oestrogen change) - hot flushes and sweating during night.

But now again she is constantly tired, and going from what she has always been - very good looking to developing bags under her eyes - yikes! You can tell at every point during the day she is tired, and will admit it if you ask, is sleeping allot mroe recently, but doesnt feel better for it.

What could this be? I was tempted to get her something like cardio breeze, or SesaPure or Gluceroll, but I know her diet is pretty good.

What can be done?

Does she exercise?

What is her diet - calories, macro breakdown, sugar/fat?

Do you have access to bio-identical progesterone creams?

Medically - I can't advise on that for you/her.....

But I've taken/do take the AFstore products & the Cardio Breeze is great for giving you that jump start in the morning.....Trex (with me) is a little longer lasting but gives me energy also....

She does exercise, but not in the gym attending way. They live in a large spotless house, so she does physical work all day long (the doc thinks this is equal to about 18 miles worth of walking per day (inc allot of up and down the stairs, and using arms for cleaning etc, so she is very fit).

Her diet from what I see is, some kind of cerial, usually very high fiber, low sodium, high complex carbs and a juice (one of orange or apple, red/green grape, cranberry, pineapple). Sometimes she has a tea.

Lunch is sandwhiches (best of both bread (means white with the goodness of whole wheat)), we use Benecol spread which is clinically proven to lower cholesterol, and then Turkey in it, or ham, or cheese (half fat) and pickle, followed with a low fat yoghurt, some fruit (one of orange, apple or grapes).

Dinner, pasta with mince meat, herbs, half fat cheese, followed by cerial or some naughty chocolate desert and sweet.

Other than that she might have another cup of tea or one of coffee (no sugar, skimmed milk).

So sugar for her isn't in abundance (she uses sweetener on and in everything) and fat mostly only in the small amount of cheese and desert - everything she buy's is low fat (much of the deserts are low fat versions also).

On the bio-identical progesterone creams - could you point me to a site that explains it simply? I don't want to have her hormons messed about again, especially since I don't know what Im doing.
