it was good. basically about two waring races, human and alien. their ships crash and one race from each survives the crash. they are loathesome enemies at first, but must co-exist in order to survive their environment. eventually they become good friends... i thought it was a good plot. it was made in the 80's i think. i think it helped promote integrating races in america.... that's just my thought, considering the movie had many parallels to real world ideals

I saw it when I was a little kid, from what i remember it was cool, a guy, I think played by dennis quaid crashlanded on a alien planet, i think it had like 3 suns or 3 moons, fell into a pit with some kinda monster and an alien befriened him, helped him heal his wound the the pit monster created, his alien friend was asexual and produced a kid, he then died so dennis had to raise his son, then there were some human lava miners who used the aliens as slaves and kidnapped the alien kid and they killed dennis, then dennis came back to life somehow and then killed the miners or some shit
