I had to sit "in grade" for two years while every dam minority in the section got promoted as Ford went to affirmative action.
I was very, very bitter.
When I got to be a Manger, I promoted on the basis of competence. It just so happened that I had the pleasure of promoting an outstanding black woman, a Chinese man and a young white guy just starting a family. I didn't need a policy to tell me how to be fair or how to get the work done at a superior level.
AA is going on the ballot in Michigan in November. I think the public is sick of it.
i got passed over for a really good job which i was overqualified for. the person who got the job was hispanic. only one applied. no formal education, not even a full citizen. i needed that job for extra money when my mom was sick. that really sucked, what a bummer it was
