End Of Morpheus?

I heard the record companies have reported a 13billion dollar loss due to programs like morpheus and napster. Now they're going to go to congress to get some sort of congressional action against such companies....Im really worried I wont be able to get my music anymore :(

I know they cant stop peple from making such programs, but can they make the ISP's put up some sort of firewalls that keep us from allowing us to access these programs.

I wonder. I think that guy's speech at the Grammys really set people off.

I will miss you, oh Morpheus. *sob*

The Grammy president, or whoever the hell he was - one of the bigwigs, got up and gave a very intense little overblown speech about how anyone who 'pirates' music over the Net is stealing from the artists Apparently the music industry is on the verge of collapse, but damn, you wouldn't know it from all those 20, 000 dollar outfits!

Then he smacked everyone on the hand with a ruler and said, "Bad!! Bad Net-thief! Bad!!"

And I hung my head in shame.

Well, he and the rest of the artist's can suck my big balls.

If they didn't make a CD with 1 good song, and 11 shitty songs, I wouldn't have to pirate the music.

Worst case scenario... charge a small fee per month... or charge for a very small fee for each download... and pay the artists with that money generated.

They cry because the days of charging $15 a CD has come to end.

Fuck 'em all I say.

Amen. I'd pay a small fee to use Morpheus, but I know that it will end up being 5.00 per song, or some crap like that.

Fuck em is right, there will always be ways of getting the music for free. Their days are numbered.

cd's are overpriced as it is... i'd like to see a breakdown on the costs because i know it only costs a few cents to produce the cd physically.... what about the other people/costs involved... how does that add up to 20 bucks?
