emptiness

feel it creep up
straight through my skin
everything to lose
nothing to win

crying out in the night
no one is there
misunderstood again...
no one to care

i'm blind in my eyes
i taste of the tears
they are already gone
the best of my years

i try to pull myself up
but the hands pull me back
gasping for air
i feel my lungs crack

leaving my body
it'll never be the same
leaving this earth
what a damn shame
