Emerging economies...

I am interested in moving abroad next year. Looking for a country where houses and real estate are cheap but should readily appreciate. Like stepping back in time to the US in the 60s or so. I'm thinking maybe Brazil. I like South America.

go to cuba! women are great! place is awesome, can't beat it

Can you really own land in Cuba? In Mexico, they country gets it back when you die so there is really no true ownership. I'm interested though. Heard many good things about Cuba.

What is price of houses? You can buy a villa in Brazil for 20,000.

cuba is technically still a communist nation...not sure how private propety works there

Try Chille

got some army buddies who have boughten some land down there...One of them having grown up there as a kid enjoys getting things so cheap there...doesn't think the standard of living is to low either. Having not been there I can't add anything from personal experience but I can't wait to check it out some day

They had a huge earthquake there some time ago that moved the coast of Chile to the east by 70 feet. :eek2:

I'm not sure that earthquakes are my bag.

Oh they are fun :)

grant it I haven't been to Cali so dont know how bad they can get but we had one that was like 7.6 a few weeks back it was about 160miles north of here and shook things pretty good

I enjoyed it being my 1st earthquake that I was aware of...kinda fun

A lot of countries have very restrictive laws about foreigners owning property - check the laws out first. Also, make sure you don't pick a country with unstable govt (avoid most of Africa and some of Latin AMerica, for example).

Thailand will not let you own land BUT you can easily find a thai person to go into business with.

While I enjoy the culture of south east Asia, my dick is too big for those girls.:(

I want a culture where people don't frown on having fun or sexuality. I'm really focused on South America right now. Hmmm....Latin girls:p

The psyche of the American female makes my stomach distend.

Can I go?

Sounds good doesn't it? Beaches loaded with thongs and topless girls. Butts that are bigger than their bellies.

I keep wanting to call 911 to report beached whales when I look at a typical physique here in the US. What the hell are they doing at the beach?

- China (Shangai, Hong Kong, Macao)

- India

- Cuba (the day Castro die) will be the next Las Vegas

- Maybe one day Lebanon will be back on the track but I doubt

Didn't you see where I explained that my dick is too big for Asian girls?

Castro has lived the good life but his days have to end within 5-7 years I figure. Cuba may very well prove to be a fortuitous investment. I am somewhat certain that Americans would have difficulty procuring land there right now.

Shenzhen and Shanghai, China. NOT Hong Kong. NOT Beijing.
Flats in Shenzhen would be a great investment right now. They are selling like hotcakes.

I'm not going anywhere for at least several months, I'm a planner. I don't make big decisions rashly.

The continent of Asia does not interest me. Though some of the women are quite beautiful and very feminine, it just isn't for me.

I would NEVER buy something becauser it is selling like "hotcakes". I'm more interested in stuff that the masses overlook for various reasons.

Back to the original question...I am looking for emerging economies, countries that would seem to have a bright future. Good climate with lots of sun is also important. I can find economic data on the interent, thought someone may have insider information or something.

Those are primo spots to find a girl and bring them back. Why would you live there? Europe is great to visit, it is somewhat crowded and dirty and heavily taxed.

Not Eastern Europe. They're still trying to build up something so investment is welcome there. Same with Ukrainia. Now western europe is basically like Canada: a socialist hot-spot.

Thanks for the heads up. I wonder how stable their government is though. Governments in trouble have a disconcerting habit of absorbing foreign assets. I doubt that power and phones are very reliable. I'm looking for 1960s type living. Comfortable without some frigging hi tech item breaking every other day.:)

Surely we have some boys familiar with the Eastern Euro scene. I can't believe I am evaluating this. Few disliked the Warsaw Pact more than I did. I do like the way their women look though. Low calorie diets and ample exercise.:p
