So, I'm heading out to do some Xmas shopping and....I have to buy my partner's father a gift. He has Alzheimer's and is coming to visit for three days. Somebody please put me in a coma. WTF do you get an Alzheimer's patient for Christmas? The mind reels.

smalls, can I come spend Xmas with you and your delightful mum?

my grandmother has it.
she gets lost a lot and keeps running her car over curbs and falls a lot.
so that's why I say pancakes

my mum is actually pretty friendly and i probably make her out to be a little worse than she is. that being said, yes you can come visit.

maybe you can stay here and keep her company while i'm in boston starting next saturday... :)

I'm back from shopping. I found the perfect gift. He did a lot of scholarly work around the American West, so I got him, um, a cowboy hat.

And leather chaps to boot.

I would opt for a map.....or directions back home. Popcorn works well. Remember when the brady buch went to Hawaii. Greg left a trail of popcorn to find their way back home..........oh nevermind, I forgot that the birds ended up eating it.....and they were lost.......

The point was to sexualize my poor father-in-law? I don't think fetishizing Alzheimer patients in leather chaps is even in the DSM.

Ok. I'll play. I didn't know the guy was poor. That's too bad. And cowboy hats, accompanied by leather chaps, and puns on "boots" make for a gay outfit. Suitable, seeing as how it would be coming from his son's significant other.

Poor in the pathetic sense. Anyway, I wouldn't wish gay cowboy drag on my worst enemy and the very suggestion that I've done that makes me want to return the hat for something less gay, like a wrestling singlet embroidered with inverted pink triangles.

Mr. Muscle...you made my day with that comment. Very funny, viking.

Coming from his son's gay lover, I wouldn't recommend that cowboy hat. It may seem like you're trying to coax him to your "dark side."
