is Precor the top knotch if one was going to buy a home elliptical?

Is there any bootleg type versions of the Precor that aren't as expensive but around the same quality?

Winter is coming, no more running outside. I have a Life Fitness elliptical but I want to trade it in now for one that has that Precor type motion

Entry level Precor are crap.

Nope, good ellipticals start around 3k. Craigslist has some deals though, if you're patient. My brother snagged a $4995.00 machine like new for $250.00 two weeks ago.

All these manufacturers have their own patents, you'll find that each brand feels completely different. Find the model you like and just keep an eye out for a used one in good shape.
 
I would think Puddles is more of a round guru than an elliptical one...
 
I bought a high dollar precor ($4,500) against Puddles advice. I wanted the Cybex but they could not get it upstairs in the room I wanted (live in an old house).

I wish I had the Cybex for sure.
 
i'm skeptical about the whole used situation, I def want a waranty

good advice though, if I go that route i'll prolly just roll with a commercial one

doesn't have to be Precor, I just like that smooth ride it has.. My life fitness just works my calves, it's for old women... The Precor hits my hams good, everybody likes a nice ass, girls, guys, dogs etc

Octane Q47e has heart rate training plus an adjustable stride, 18-26". It's their nicest home model before entering the commercial stuff. My brother has one, he and his wife love it. Blows any home model of Precor out of the water. Only shitty thing is it retails for $3,700-$4,000. Dealer cost is around 2k.

LF has always had a short high stride, and you barely get any arm extension at all.

Is this the same one he got for real cheap or is that another? It looks pretty slick but with these things I gotta hop on one before I buy it.

wonder where I can try one of these out.. It won't really bother me to drop 2.5-3.5 G on something that has a good warranty and can last a long time.

i've been running for so long, this Sept I did a triathalon and a marathon, I can feel my knees starting to go and i'm only in my 20's. Running to knees = cigarettes to lungs. Slowly but surely
 
why would a healthy male waste money on something like this/
for fatties, yuppy fux who never use it, and old ladies.
 
decided to start putting together a lil gym in the basement (rack, bench, lat pull)

ellipticals are soft on my knee's and anks unlike running, I can burn 2x as many cals on a ellip just by jacking up the resistance

just when it gets rainy and winter, I don't feel like driving to a indoor track/treadmill to bust out a several mile jog or w/e

i'm not bout to do jumpin jacks infront of a TV, fucca HIT

He's gotten a bunch of stuff cheap, either through me or used.

Check their website for the dealer locator. Odds are it's a specialty company that will have other high quality prods for you to try.
