ELITENESS - Is this normal

Im guessing that since I dont see anyones avatars, dont have all the icons that everyone uses, its because im not an "elite member"? Am I right?

it is either by post count, or yes you have to be a platinum member. i used to think the paying to be platinum was retarded, but after talking with guys who pay, it sounds like a good deal. it would be awsome if it was free, but do you have any idea what bandwidth and storage would be on this site??? a fuck load. so i would say if you want a better chance at sources, avatars, pic posting, etc etc.... go platinum.

im sorry but I really dont like putting a platinum membership with my credit card, I dont want anyone on this board or running this board to have any accurate info on who I really am, for safety reasons of course, I cant figure out why anyone would. Am I missing something?
