First off I would disagree to the extent that not all laws are codified opinions that create morals. I think morals are inherent to the human condition and are expressed through the law.

Certainly your point is valid in part, however to generalize that all laws are such would be a misstatement, IMO. As to pedophillia I feel that we as a society feel that this is inherently wrong and then we turned our moral value into law, rather than the other way around.
