Eggs and health

I'm cutting and trying to keep high protein/low carb on a vegetarian diet. I have found that I'm eating an obscene amount of eggs/whites (and egg "substitute"). Are there any known health issues that I should be concerned about along this vein? -Im thinking along the lines of mercury toxicity from fish and whatnot....
 
oh I didn't know he meant yolks

keep the yolk count within reason, even though recent studies show it's not as much of an issue as once thought
 
It's mostly whites. No worries there. I was just hoping that there's nothing cumulatively dangerous like hormones or ... something. Thnx
 
absolutetly not; egg whites are probably some of the healthiest sources of nutrients (protein) you will ever find. I like me whole eggs though :o
 
Wait, your post says that you are eating an insane amount of egg whites but you are concerned about toxicity of fish?

lol

he meant... that people are saying eating fish is ok.. but eating it in large amounts could build up toxicity

so he wanted to know if eating large amounts of eggs could have any effect of a buildup of anything in particular

basically he was just being paranoid :)
 
i have been eating about 12 egg whites a day sometimes i will eat the yolk i have been doing this between my meals i am trying to lose some bodyfat without losing much muscle eggs whites are probably one of the cleanest sources of protein i dont think it is bad to eat large amounts as long as the yolks are kept to a minimum
