The forum would be empty...LOL
The big thing is that an internet board is different than sitting down with someone. You type a few lines and you look like a moron. In real life you can interact with the guy and set him straight without him getting flamed. If we had a test on this board 99% of the new guys would fail it but that 1% of guys like us that really do some reading and research are the ones that generally do not need much help anyway.
What I think is needed in this sport is "An Idiots Guide to AAS Use" Many of the larger books are long and tedious to read. There needs to be something that covers the basic substances, PCT, abscesses and injecting etc. plus throw in a few other odds and ends. Make it like 20-50 pages and break it down into monkey terms.
I am the type of person that can read a PubMed article and understand it and I don't even have a med degree but there are guys out there that don't have that ability (or more importantly the desire) and they need good solid general info that they can use as a base to start their progression in the sport.
When I first looked into AAS I was 17, skinny and just joined the military. I had a friend give me some pills yet despite my ignorance of AAS I knew better than to just take something. I ended up getting the Underground Steroid Bible and read that bitch like it was the gospel of god. I did more reading and decided I would stay natty until I matured or hit my full genetic potential.
The greater problem we have is we live in the Fast Food/Internet/Instant Gratification age. People want big bodies NOW and they will risk their health to achieve that end. The greatest obstacle is the ignorance associated with that mentality. You can get your Big Mac and eat it too but there are consequences. Too many people do not understand that in this day and age there is no easy way out. Pop a pill and get big is their understanding of the sport.
If I ever get around to it I plan on writing a small book and getting it published. I have started working on a site similar to basekiller that will go over homebrewing. That is another area that we as a group of informed individuals need to work on.
The essence for me is that we do have a duty to the sport to help inform people to the benefits and dangers of this sport. There are too many people out there working against us and these newbies that enter the sport are not helping. They end up on MTV or the cover of the NY Times crying how AAS screwed up their lives.
