Well I disagree with you and so does the rest of our admin staff.

1 - You may be able to turn off avatars, but why should others be forced to turn them off simply so someone else can post a totally inappropriate picture. Not to mention the many new members that we get on a daily basis that are not familiar with how to use the functions of the system. We drive our customers away by allowing this garbage "trailer park board" nonsense.

2 - I guess this point really depends on if you are using stealth items, but is not really applicable to this topic.

3 - I am sure people should be working Julez, but again this is not really applicable to the topic.

We may all be adults here, so are and some are not. As adults you think that members could show some class and respect for other members. By posting offensive material be it a LINK and PIC or an AVATAR or ever a POST, you can drive other members and customers away from this private business.

Thats why wepay NATIONAL INSURANCE, it gets taken out of our pay package. I think that the drugs I use come to less than 60quid a month. I've paid more than 20,000 quid into the National Insurance scheme since I've started working. I've put FAR more in than I've taken out. Also having worked for the NHS for years as a nurse I think I've contributed more than just money to our health system

BTW My 'drug usage' is neccesary to treat medical conditions, so I think your being a bit out of order.

The issue has to do with the cluster and the multiple servers that we use. I'm really sorry for the issue, it personally drives me crazy as well. I am not a coder, so I have no idea how to fix it. I think the people at Globix are looking into this as I have stressed it. Sorry.

Did you follow the link? It was not a pornographic link, this is made clear on this main page. It's a mens health forum which has been endorsed by the BBC, Telegraph Newspaper and many FHM magazine. Yet links to sites with potentially lethal information are allowed(www.spotinjections.com) again I think this is the URL.

I'm not starting a personal arguement here, but I have my point of view, I've been here a long time and I've seen patterns. Going down the route of restrictive posting IMO will not help your corparate aims. (Did'nt the chat site click once say 'be as nasty as you like')

I hate to be a know-it-all kinda guy, but the problem is that you are farming a stateless protocol (http) and users expect there to be a relative state to their posts.

If you added a server that simply help the posts/threads currently edited before distributing the newest post to the thread (a sort of "session" server) it would solve the problem.

See the "sesssions" server would act as a sort of RAM for the board, where all the updates are stored before being commited to "disk" (the farm).
