EF Boards Slower?

Since the move, the response time when surfing the threads has slowed for me considerably.

I have ping tested my connection to other sites and they appear fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've not had a problem though ever since EF switched servers I have the constant urge to dance. It's like I'm a dancing machine. Every time I log into the damn sight I find myself off my computer chair bustin' a move. Anyone else having that problem?

I've noticed it too, I thought it was initially because it needed to propogate the DNS but it hitches from time to time with me.

I'm getting request timed out in my 20th hop but couldn't that mean that you just hit a secured server that does not respond?

Wow, it does look like a dns problem. There is no reverse lookup for the ip you timed out at. I get a failed ping from time to time as well.

Squat-all to do with that traceroute... more likely the ad server software leaking memory all over the floor. It's ugly code but (a) it's hard to complain to the boss about something that helps pays the bills around here and (b) not necessary to complain again, as he's well aware of its problems and we are actively looking for something better, cleaner, less of a strain on the site. (And of course if you're Plat, we don't run that code for your session.)
