Ebay Mishap

i sold a sub on ebay. when i sent it, the sub was in perfect condition. Now a little after this guy gets the sub, he emails me and tells me its a POS and it has holes and he wants a refund. He said he contacted the authorities and his lawyer... Even though i sent it in great condition, can he fuck with me like this and get away with it?
