I am certain it is not mine due to the fact that this one had the appropriate spring.

I'll try to find out what serial # mine was somehow.

In the meantime i don't know what to do with it. I don't want to hold on to it if it is going to get me into legal trouble.

Now this guy i calling and threatening me... He sounds like a big dipshit.

All in all i know i sent him a prefect unit and i got back a broken one.

it may sound trite and jaded, but there is no need add gasoline to this flame by responding to him in any way which could inflame this. yes, from your point of view its his fault and cussing him or accusing him may seem morally satisfying, but it will accomplish no legal benefit and could actually work against you if it comes down to legal issues (i always plan for the worst, it's notorious for happening). best to do is stall him and research ... let him know he can call you anytime (makes it show you are acting in good faith)... anything that paints you as working in good faith and that doesn't work against you in case this issue turns legal. and if you happen to find proof of his criminality, all the sweeter.

as for holding the merchandise, there is a paper trail right now, i woulndnt worry much as long as you are working towards researching the issue... even if Detective Friday knocks on your door, the fact you are working on a solution absolves you...

well he didnt even send the package to me. he sent it to my girlfriends dorm room. I didn't even sign for it or admit to having it.


Im smarter than he is. He cussed at me and accused me. I did not cuss or acuse him. I simply made theoretical remarks as well as intelligent and witty replies. For example here is my last reply to him:

Actually you did not send the package to me. That is not my address. The package was sent to an intermediary. I never admitted to having possession of my merchandise or any merchandise at all, as i technically do not have current posession of any merchandise nor did i ever, nor can you prove that i have or ever had posession of anything, as you did not send the unit to my physical address. Theoretically if i had the unit, it wouldn't really matter because i didn't receive anything to my current address. Further if i theoretically had the package i would put it in a safety deposit box or turn it over to law enforcement for safe keeping to clear myself of possession. Even further how does the person you sent the package to know it wasn't a present from his penpal in Ohio. Theoretically you could have sent a box of peanuts. I don't know what you sent. All i know is what i sent you and what the intermediary received. All in all, i am in posession of nothing of yours. I did not sign for a package. No package was sent to my address.

I will never be in posession of the unit again to free myself of liability. All i know is what was sent to the intermediary does not match the records. If in fact the intermediary confirms the merchandise he would in turn return it to the proper person. I will get to the bottom of it.

hey dude, you might want to check out any statements you have regarding the serial numbers from your original... also, if i were you i'd flat out tell him he wont get any money back... period.

if he wants anything back from you then tell him to sue your ass... and then counter sue him.
