Eating dates post-workout?

Dates have a GI of like 100...wouldn't they be a good post-workout food? Just wondering cuz I haven't heard them mentioned.....
 
Im not a big fan of fruits for pwo. I keep it simple and consistant with every pwo.
100g dex/ 50g whey. But for other parts of the day, depending on diet goals, IMO theres nothing wrong with them.
