Eating carbs before bedtime, know BB's who ALWAYS do this

So is it REALLY that bad. I could understand that LOTS of carbs just before you go to sleep can't be good for you if you want to hold as much fat away as possible. Then again, how about a max of 25-30g of carbs 2 hours before bedtime(slow GI), would that make any difference?? I just love bread and especially these ones I have with Flax seed in them. 2 chickenbreast on them and then a bit of low fat cheese on them, some tomatoes and then into the oven for a few minutes. MMMMmmmmm....

Well I'm doing this winny only cycle right now and goals are to gain solid size and strength so I would like to hold fat away. Just before bedtime I take 3 teaspoons with Flax seed oil and 30g protein from casein and 30g from chicken or tuna.

who eats carbs an hour or two before bedtime while trying to pack on some solid mass(BULK!!)

Carbs before bed aren't the demon they're made out to be. You don't want to load your blood stram with glucose, but 20-40 g of low GI carbs is not going to cause any drastic movements in blood insulin concentrations. Fact is you need calories to grow muscle. Protein synthesis requires energy to be carried out. So long as your eating an appropriate amount of calories carbs before bed won't be stored as fat. They will find thier way into the muscles and liver to be stored as glycogen, or they will be used imediately by the increased metabolic demands of AS induced muscle growth.

It depends on your goals. I like to wake up in the middle of the night and chug a big glass of sugary weight gain sludge and manage to stay relativately lean.

Unless you have a poor insulin resistance

Very true, but most of use are very hard training "athletes". We're not average gym goers nor are we couch potatos. Intense, consistant training improves insulin sensitivity and glucose disposal significantly.

of course working out helps our insulin sensitivity, but only so much. Its mostly a genetic thing, and it usually gets worse with age. I used to be tubby so I play it safe, i'm not gonna fuck with fate.
