My opinion on putting on mass is eat EVERYTHING in sight as long as you get your good quality protein in, worry about losing it precontest--I have alot of respect for Shawn Ray but come on, the dude looks the same now as he did in 1987(with the exception of the flat-top and bank account)--what's your opinion on this, I already know BOUNCER likes to pack in the food

I think that's all well and good, except you should stay the hell away from saturated fat...if you care about your health.
 
Trans fats are much worse (so science says), but then again I rarely touch potato chips. I do eat a damn lot of sirloin lately, almost always beef.

I just include them in the saturated fat category. And if i'm not mistaken, they act exactly like saturated fat don't they?

look, why not leave that short little shit alone for christ sakes. your always picking on him. lol. j/k....i think shawn looks awesome, i'd love to have his body.....hey he's big, but well defined and structured. plus he's a pretty boy. :) i just started adding in some HDT Problend Solid Gains (like N-Large, but better) myself in place of the metrx i usually use...to up the cals from 300 a serving to 700 with the same 60 grams of protein.

hey bro, have you seen Shawn Ray in the off season? I posted a few picks a while back and he was fat and small.

I don't think he's really talking smack to me...And I've been trying to keep all the flaming on those threads that are worthless anyways...I think this thread has some potential, I don't wanna kill it now...

And if you were talking smack to me "G-pupp" you don't know who you're messing with...just ask bouncer and warbird, I lay the smack down on them on a daily basis...:mix:

nah, i'd rather eat the ice cream in an arbys shake and eat the PB in a sandwich then throw down the solid gains. ;) thats the hardcore way to do it. :biggrin:
 
Bah, McDonald's sucks. Burger King, Carls Junior (or a place over here called Taxis, awesome 1/3 pound patties!!!!!!!). Pizza would be my favorite junk food, burritos next (carb city), and my ice cream splurges.......

I started my cyc. eating clean, but got to a sticking point and said fuck it and started eating everything I could get my hands on and the weight is climbing;)

i agree, although i beleave in a bit more saine approach to gaining, i think if you just double your caloric intake you will gain alot of fat, where as if you steadily increase your calories by 500cals/week you will gain more muscle and less fat in the long run
 
I argree with bouncer and g-dogg completely. I saw a post a couple of days age where a guy had his bulking diet broken down in to 8 meals, consisting of oatmeal, chicken breast, ect...

Personally, it looked like a cutting diet to me. IMO, take care of the basics such as protein - after that - EAT, EAT, EAT.

I know a lot of you probably wont agree with this, but why just eat everything in sight? Sure it takes a bit more effort to eat clean and enough calories to grow, but in the end it is a lot more rewarding and makes dieting a whole lot easier. I do think when your bulking that you should have an occasional cheat day and not sweat it if you eat some junk occasionly, but not all the time. When you eat everything in sight all you are going to do is gain more fat than is necesary to grow. Not to mention that it's not very healthy either. Will you go up in weight a whole lot faster? Yes, but it sure won't be quality weight. Now does this apply to the pro's who are on gh and insulin, etc? No because they can afford to get away with it but for the majority of us it is wiser imo to go the clean route.

yes yes yes, however once you get big enouph eating clean will not allow you to consume enouph calories to keep progressing, thats when its time to start making up with easy going/highly dense foods (fatty shit)
 
Ya.. i like to eat what is easy... and I just find eating clean to be easier... don't fuck around with condiments... but I dunno Micky Dees every day adds up man... I tend to throw down whatever after the basics are clear... (like Nautica said...)
 
On Shawn Ray, I give him credit for staying the same. He knows what works for him, and he didn't get caught up trying to be something he's not. Thats what fucked with Flex Wheeler (playing the size game). He has done a lot, more than most in the sport. He has my respect.

I eat clean. I eat alot, but always clean. However on carb-up days i can hold my own:)

Fav binge food= cereals, and pastry. the ones filled with strawberry jam.....Mmmmmm:D

Ponderosa Buffet = ACE!!!!
