Dynamic rows standing on a plate.

I recently did my dynamic rows standing on a plate and it gave me about a 2inch elevation off the ground. I must say that it felt much easier to maintain solid form while still being able to remain explosive.

Any opinions on this?
 
Whatever works for you and your proportions. If changing the amount of knee bend doesn't help you get comfortable and maintain form but standing on plates does, I don't see any downsides to it.

For whatever reason, I've always found rows the easiest of the main exercises on which to keep good form. It probably helps that I started out doing them dynamically and from the floor, so I didn't have any bad "half-row, half-shrug" habits to break.

Makes sense. Aye mate. I had the bad habit from 2 years of 45 degree rowing. All that non-sense took its toll on my lower back, ever since i've started doing them the proper way it feels much much better.
 
..other than changing the center of gravity.......how does being 2 inches taller help a rowing movement??

I'm not sure to be honest, but it feels a great deal better when I do it this way. Maybe give it a whirl if you like?
