Well...I've been eating clean and tons of food for the past three days and I have just had tons of energy and feel strong as an ox. I decided that it might help my explosiveness in my events if I increased my band resistance when I did my box squats. Here is what I did today in the gym.

Box Squats
275 plus blue and purple bands (around 300lbs of tension added)
8 sets of 2 reps, 13" box
45 sec rest between sets

Stiff Legs
205 x 3 (traps still sore from doing farmers on Sunday)

Leg Extensions
50 x 50 reps
75 x 25 reps

Leg Curls
75 x 15

Rev Hypers
BW x 8 x 3 sets

Pull Down abs
2 sets of 12

Standing Calf Raises
BW x 20 x 3 sets...on a step

That was it for today. Gonna try to attach a pic so you can see my squat and band set up.

lol now thats a ghetto band set up. Damn 300 lbs of tension... thats a lot.. i cant even squat that much :) .

It is always fun to goodmorning the weight up, take a 1/2 step back...then squat.

What two bands are they? All of mine are purple, cause i got mine from jump stretch, not elite fts, so they are all one color.

They are the heavy and the light.

It's very interesting to see how you train, but it'd be cooler if it was collated in one place rather than a separate thread for each workout. Why not start an online journal?

The journals are for platinum members. I post here for everyone to see...I also get a lot more feedback here.

Are you not a platinum member now? ;)

Yes I am. :)

Most of the people on here are not though..and this is where I began out...on the training forum. I remember back a long time ago when this forum would only get about 3 posts a day..MAYBE. I remember making a vow to post a new post on here once a day...that has been a long time ago..haha.

yeah this board would never move. the AS board would change by the minute, i would come over here and check and would see the same posts constantly, no change.

ahhh. the good old days. :)

cant wait for my bands to arrive ! ordered a set of the light ones to start with (made many mistakes of ordering things that are more advanced in the naive idea that i wouldnt need the beginner ones) just have to hope that US post doesnt think the chalk dust on the box is something else and they arrive here sometime soon.

The pics are well appreciated B Fold.

Stay right here bro, I for one look forward to your posts. It is you that is sparking my interest in powerlifting. Let me know if I ever can be of any help, I may have an extra truck axle or something lying around that you can use.

B Fold just borrow my car for a day it weighs over 2 tons, push it uphill, deadlift the back end, use it to hold bands shit, it can be used for almost any event....

A car over 6,000 lbs? My suburban weighs close to 6,000 and I love to push/pull it uphill. Don't know about deadlifting it though..lol

naw m,,y car is only over 4000lbs but it is the old steel mercedes with the diesel engine. Pushing that thing up hill sucks, It takes me and my brother so that would propbably give you a run for your money since you need to ghet real low to the ground. The added benefit is it has a pure steel bumper with good supports...
