DVD on the PC

I'm trying to copy/paste a DVD on my hard drive and then play the DVD

I'm using Media player classic
Which file should I open :

VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB

(there a are 4 .BUP and .IFO files)

none of them seem to work and my player is frozen

(When I read the DVD from the DVD - not the hard drive - it works but I'd like to read it from my HD

first get out of classic mode. then load all of those, except that first video_ts, files into media player

Media Player classic (which is different from the windows crap)

Maybe there's aprotection on the DVD..... which prevents me from copying it on my hard drive

You could try DivX. I don't really watch DVDs on my computer but when I do I use PowerDVD. DivX is another software that's good for viewing movies, though. I used to use it to watch downloaded movies and TV shows.

I would rip it into an AVI or MPG, then play that with media player.
