Durnin-Womersley

So it's Wellness Week in the small community that I live in,blah blah blah....whatever.My gym is giving free body fat %'s for this week,it's usually $25.

They use a system called Durnin-Womersley from friggin 1974!!

Anyways,I'm in week 9 of a Test/Winny/Proviron cycle. My bodyfat has dropped dramasticlly and I've made some great gains.Very lean at the moment.

So I decided to have them take my bodyfat % seeing at is was free. They came back with 21.5%!!!!!

What a joke, seriously I know my body and I'd say I'm max 13% right now.Anywho justed needed to vent that out, peace bros.

Either they didn't know how to do it, or you are fatter than average in one area. If you had a large measurement in one area it throws off the whole calculation. Cause they add all 4 measurments together, then compare the total to a chart that is based on averages. There is a 7 pinch test, that is a little more accurate, can't remember what it's called right now.
Didn't the trainer notice the reading was off? I could look at you and be within 5%

Thanks for the reply bro,I'm gonna get some pics taken in the next few days and have you boys guesstamate my body fat%.

When we talk about "bodyfat measures" - there are several different methods that measure slightly different things - it doesn't mean they are "wrong" - it means you are measuring bodyfat by different measures. In practice we usually refer to bodyfat measures taken via 7+ pt skin fold measures. But people often use other methods like Tanita scales, bio-impedance, etc., come up w/ much higher numbers than they would expect (relative to the skinfold method) and then think that method is "full of shit" -- its all related to what you are measuring.

But for the purposes of making the measure mean something to you, better to do it via the skinfold method.

This was done with calipers? Usually calipers will read well below your actual bf%, not above...
