No way out for suspect armed with hose nozzle
A man held up an adult video and bookstore with the sprinkler head of a garden hose that looked like a black gun, police said on Monday.
According to police, Andre Clark, 32, tied a white T-shirt around his head to hide his face as he held up the Hollywood Book and Video store at 1235 S. State Road 7 at 10 p.m. on Saturday. He was recorded by a police surveillance camera grabbing money from register drawers as the store clerk holds up his hands, police said.
Clark then ran to the back door of the store and found police officers waiting for him. He ran back through the store and out the front door where other officers were waiting, said police spokesman Tony Rode.
Clark was charged with one count of armed robbery.
The store had been robbed twice before and police had it under surveillance when Clark was arrested.
