Drunk driver hit my friend ...

A friend of mine I work with was hit by a drunk driver over the weekend. I don't know exactly what happened ... her roommate called work today and said this had happened, but hospitals can't give away info or anything. I think I heard something about her being in intensive care though.

So my manager calls the other manager, and is like, I have some bad news about Cheryl. He says,

'WHAT?! SHE FUCKIN QUIT?!'
'No .... She was hit by a drunk driver ... She's in the hospital.'
'... Check the schedule.'

MAN, what kind of insensitive asshole is that ... Apparently, his top priority is who is going to work in her place ... He did catch himself though, and asked if she was okay ... But still, that is fucked up. And normally, this guy is an asshole, but I didn't think he was THIS much of an asshole ...

Anyway, so yeah, anyone religious out there, say a prayer, if it's not too much trouble. Thank you.

the problem is driving impaired, or bad driving.

driving drunk is no less horrible than driving when you are exhausted. Both acts are inherently selfish. You are risking others lives for your own convenience....

you are right, but i have done a lot of the latter...

not for convenience but when there was no where to pull over

Well I gotta say that you are 100% accurate. I hope your friend gets better. I had a good friend get a DUI on Friday night and I felt it was about time. I don't drink, but driving while taking meds or counting change for the drive thru is really no different.
