Drugs anyone?

I used to a lot as a teen/in my 20's. Now, at 30, I just don't find it very practical or useful. I either have to work, or am going to workout, or have to drive somewhere, etc etc. If I want to unwind, I'd rather hit the gym/tae kwon do class/mountain bike than get high.

To strive for a healthy body and lifestyle, and to have drugs as a regular part of that lifestyle, seems like a huge oxymoron.

Plus, with my occupation, I see all levels of addiction.

Most "functioning addicts" usually are in denial, anyways ;)

But I digress. To answer the question, no, I don't think it has affected me, at all. I used a LOT of pot, alcohol, cocaine once, and LSD.

i'd say Alcohol has the biggest effect on training. Not only is it packed with empty calories but its hard on the body. . . . .

Unless you're on heroin, pretty much every other drug just cooks your brain . . . if you are doing drugs in moderation, it shouldnt have much of an effect on your training

Marijuana has no permanent effects on the brain. Does have minor temporary effects on Short-term memory and episodic memory that cease within days after stopping use. There is also no danger of OD and the effects on the lungs are minor unless you chief like a warrior. You can always get high grade and a water pipe. Check the WebMD articles bors.

Done it all, never been addicted. LSD is definately the best! It's like an anti-drug though, their is no hiding from your life when your tripping, and it can be used as metaprogramming/NLP tool. Im 36 now and just try to take care of my body. occasional weed smoking, and maybe a glass of wine now an then. The older I get the more I appreciate sobriety and sanity.

weed ed or atleast eod, coke on occasion, very rare xtc use and thats all folks, of course like before mentioned the older i get the less craving i have for those shitty substances
