I used to a lot as a teen/in my 20's. Now, at 30, I just don't find it very practical or useful. I either have to work, or am going to workout, or have to drive somewhere, etc etc. If I want to unwind, I'd rather hit the gym/tae kwon do class/mountain bike than get high.
To strive for a healthy body and lifestyle, and to have drugs as a regular part of that lifestyle, seems like a huge oxymoron.
Plus, with my occupation, I see all levels of addiction.
Most "functioning addicts" usually are in denial, anyways
But I digress. To answer the question, no, I don't think it has affected me, at all. I used a LOT of pot, alcohol, cocaine once, and LSD.
